It’s so dry in my dorm room that my eyes are swollen and itchy, which makes my nose run and makes me feel miserable! I’ve tried opening up my window, and that helps a little bit. Is there anything else I can do to make it not so dry in here? I don’t have access to air conditioning or a humidifier.
Hmm…. Well I’m guessing you go to one where there isn’t an onsuit bathroom in each thing right? If there was you could make it steamy. Also you don’t have access to humididfer
So it will be hard. Maybe you could get one of those little fan things. Or find on of those mist sprayer things. Good Luck!
Plants.
If you can’t use a humidifire do you have a burner or a stove? because you can heat water and it will help to make it less dry in the room
Do you have any heating? If so, filling a bucket with water and placing it next to the heat source (i.e. radiator) will release moisture into the air.
You can purchase an air humidifier, they don’t cost that much.
The neat thing about it is you can make it smell the way you want to by adding certain scent into the water.
But if you don’t have access to a humidifier, then use water buckets or some form of container, that is how many ppl does it in the old days when there were no humidifer.
Or like someone did mention here, use houseplants and soak the pot soil with water.
You can buy cheap, small humidifiers at Wal Mart for 20 dollars or less. I would definitely recommend spending the money on it, that’ll definitely help! And maybe can some air going through. Keep your windows open and turn a fan on.
save up twenty bucks and get a humidifier at walmart. no big deal.
plants, or spray bottles and perfume! JK about the latter.
you said you don’t have access to a humidifier, but it’s not that hard to get one either… just pick one up at your local target or walmart or drugstore. the most a cheap, but effective one will cost you is $20. just fill it up with water and plug it in.
Buy a simple vaporizer!! They are inexpensive and will put moisture into the air.
Buy a nice big (one that YOU like) potted plant. IF you remember to water it regularly- it will help to humidify the air, make the room alittle more pleasant, and provide you with a "conversation piece". (Take care of IT, & it will take care of YOU).
